Upgrade of Courts 1 and 2

When the spring competition season finishes in November work will begin on courts 1 and 2 to upgrade them from en tout cas to synthetic grass with a reinforced concrete base for stability and resistance against the tree roots.

No doubt some members will be sad to see them go as en tout cas provides a great game of tennis with the smallest amount of injury to players for almost any other surface.
However, en tout cas is expensive to maintain plus they need much precious water to help keep the surface intact. As well many players seem to opt for the synthetic grass over the en tout when they have a choice.

Feedback & Comments

Feedback and comments are welcome from members. If you would like to have some input to the project please email the club president, Mike Paterson, at president@researchtennis.com.au.

Completion Date

The work is expected to be completed by the start of the autumn competition in early February 2020.

BBQ Upgrade

The gas BBQ will soon be replaced with an electric one with the power switch located in the club house, making the BBQ'ing area safer and more convenient for everyone.
