If you are like me and realise that there is a LOT of time between now and when the next season starts, would you be interested in playing in a singles competition during the next couple of months?

No doubt you are also like me and are time poor and can’t commit to a set time, so I am proposing a different format where you can play the opponents you are scheduled against at a time that works for you both. The only restriction being that you need to have completed all your of your games by a set date (likely mid January). Finals will then follow it late Jan/early Feb.

For a bit of fun, we will build into the registration fee a little prize money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. If we get 20 players and get $20 per player we can offer up to $100 for first prize!

I am working closely with Mike and the Tennis Club Committee, however on this occasion please register your interest for more details by emailing andy.crook@hotmail.co.uk with all ages and ability levels welcome.

In your expression of interest, please put your name, DOB, current level of tennis played in an email with the subject line being ‘Research Singles Tournament’. Expressions of Interest required by Wednesday 29 November with the final competition format to be determined once interest levels have been gauged.

I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully having a decent hit out over the next couple of months.
