The membership fee for Research Tennis Club runs for twelve months after purchase and no longer follow the financial year.
New memberships can be purchased at any time. Current members will be advised by email when their membership renewal is due.
All memberships now expire 12 months after purchase. Towards the end of your membership, renewal reminders will be emailed to you.

Annual Membership Fees are composed of club membership fees, compulsory maintenance fee and membership with Tennis VIC which includes Personal Accident Insurance.
Non-members are welcome to fill in for any Research Tennis Club competition team for up to and including two matches. On the third match played, they must become a member of the club and pay the appropriate membership fee.
In other words, a player can fill in for two matches without being a member. If they wish to play a third match, they must join the club.
Since the 2016/2017 membership season, Research Tennis Club, along with many other tennis clubs, began using the member registration facility provided by Tennis Victoria.
Ball and light money for each season is to be paid separately by cash, cheque, or bank deposit to your team captain. Ask your team captain for payment details.
In case you've lost your invoice, here are the payment instructions for Research Tennis Club.
Please quote "MSHIP" plus your initial and surname for the payment reference. For example, for John Smith, use "MSHIP J SMITH".

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Competition players will NOT be eligible to play unless fees have been paid by the start of each tennis season (i.e. mid-July for spring and early February for NEW players in autumn). Team Captains will be notified of any team members who have not paid their membership fees.

With the recent installation of the much more user-friendly Igloo Lock System, the need for court keys has now become obsolete.
If you have not returned your court key or emailed the club your intentions, it is now too late. Refunds are closed as of 31-March 2024.
The club would very much like to thank the following members for donating their key deposit to the club. This will help greatly with the club's cash flow and help the committee provide a better club for all.
Note that the list is limited to members who emailed the club saying they were happy to donate and to have their name published.
If you did not specify either donation or membership fee offset, you can do so when your membership is due for renewal. If the club isn't informed, it will be assumed that you are happy to donate your key deposit to the club.
When paying your renewal, select "other payment" option (not credit card) and inform the membership secretary of your intentions via email, or call if you prefer. Your invoice will be amended and resent, and then pay the updated invoice. If you don't notify the membership secretary, it will be assumed that you are donating your deposit to the club.
This also applies to members who have already said to do the offset option. Once a membership is paid via credit card, it's difficult to change the cost, especially if there are many with the same issue.
