Save The Date - Bunnings BBQ Fundraiser

We’re firing up the grill and need your help! Research Tennis and Pickleball Club is hosting a Bunnings BBQ on Sunday, 6 April 2025, and we’re looking for volunteers to assist between 8am and 6pm.

If you can spare just two hours, you’ll be helping serve up the iconic Bunnings snags while supporting our club.

Without volunteers, our fundraising won’t be successful—so we’d love your support! Adults and responsible juniors/teenagers are encouraged to get involved.

Specifically, volunteers needed for each two hour slot include one cooking the snags and two serving the customers.

To sign up:

  • Text your name and availability (morning, afternoon, or a preferred time slot) to Kylie Coutts (Pickleball coordinator) on 0419 523 229.
  • A roster will also be posted in the clubrooms in the coming days where you can add your name and volunteer your time.

We truly appreciate your help — let’s make this a great event for the club!

Research Pickleball Club Celebrates 1 Year of Growth and Fun!

The Research Pickleball Club is thrilled to celebrate its one-year anniversary in February 2025. In just 12 months, we’ve seen fantastic growth in our membership and the development of an enthusiastic community of pickleball players. Our club started as a small group of passionate individuals, and now we are proud to offer more opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.

A Year of Exciting Events and Expanding Membership

Over the past year, we've hosted two highly successful "Free Come and Try" days, and one Open Day offering people the chance to experience pickleball for the first time. These events attracted over 70 people to join in on the fun, not only introduced pickleball to many new players but have also contributed to a growing interest in our club.

We are excited to offer two regular programmed sessions every week. You can join us on Monday mornings at 9:30am or Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm, where you'll find up to four pickleball courts in full swing during the evening sessions. Whether you’re a beginner or more experienced player, our club’s atmosphere is all about improving your skills and having fun each week.

Tennis Members - Pickleball is Included in Your Membership!

For our tennis members, did you know that your membership includes free access to pickleball? If you’ve been curious about giving pickleball a try or are ready to get started, we’d love to have you join our sessions.

Tennis players of all levels are welcome, and we encourage you to register through our website. Click on researchtennis.au/pickleball/, then "Book a Pickleball Session Now!" to join in on the action. This includes juniors as well—pickleball is available to everyone, regardless of age!

For parents of junior members or any members wanting to learn more about pickleball, keep an eye out for more "Come and Try" sessions coming soon. These events will provide a great introduction to the sport, and we’re excited to welcome newcomers of all ages to our growing community.

    Join Our Facebook Page

If you're not already a member of the Research Pickleball Club 3095 Facebook page, we encourage you to join. It's the best place to stay up to date with upcoming events, news, and all things pickleball. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing more exciting developments as we continue to grow.

If you would like to find out more about Pickleball, please don't hesitate to contact Kylie Coutts (Pickleball Coordinator) on 0419 523 229.

Here’s to another year of fun, fitness, and friendship at the Research Pickleball Club!

Letter to Members Regarding Child /Adult Safety Reporting at Research Tennis Club

    Dear Members,

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children and adults participating in our sporting club, we wish to reiterate the importance of reporting any concerns regarding child or adult safety whilst participating in, or related to, club activities. This encompasses physical, emotional, verbal, and electronic safety.

    Physical Safety

It is imperative that any instances of physical harm or potential danger to children/ adults within our club are reported immediately. Physical safety includes, but is not limited to, protection from physical abuse, injuries, and unsafe training practices.

    Emotional Safety

Emotional well-being is just as crucial as physical safety. Any signs of emotional abuse, including bullying, intimidation, or any behaviour that may cause psychological harm, should be reported promptly. We strive to create a supportive and nurturing environment for all children and adults.

    Verbal Safety

Verbal abuse can have lasting impacts on a person’s self-esteem and mental health. It is vital to report any incidents where children or adults are subjected to harsh language, derogatory remarks, or any form of verbal harassment.

    Electronic Safety

In today’s digital age, it is essential to safeguard individuals (and particularly children) from online threats. This includes cyberbullying, inappropriate communications, and any harmful digital interactions. Please ensure that any electronic safety concerns that relate to club membership or participation are reported without delay.

We have established a comprehensive reporting system to handle all safety concerns with the utmost confidentiality and seriousness. If you witness or become aware of any child / adult safety issues, please contact our designated child / adult safety officer Tim Garnett on 0417 445 470 immediately for a full confidential conversation.

Your vigilance and cooperation are paramount in maintaining the safety and integrity of our sporting environment. Together, we can ensure that our club remains a safe space for all individuals to learn, grow, and thrive.

Thank you for your attention to this crucial matter.
