With the Autumn 2023 season about to commence, it seems timely to recognise those Research teams that reached their respective Grand Finals last season, Spring 2022.

Competition Suppers
With the recent changes in approach to managing COVID-19, there are no longer any restrictions on clubs/teams who wish to offer and provide post-match suppers to visiting teams.
|
As such, the Research Clubhouse and outdoor areas will now be fully available to those Research home teams that wish to provide suppers, once renovations are completed. This should be around mid February at the latest.

NENTG
However, with the exception of the NENTG competition, there is no compulsion or expectation that suppers be offered, with such a decision to be left with individual teams via their captains.
|
|
Nevertheless it might be courteous for team captains to let their counterparts from other clubs know of such a decision in advance, to ensure there are no misunderstandings or mistaken expectations.
|

Research Tennis Club Xmas Party 2022
The Xmas party last year almost didn't happen due to the upcoming renovations inside the clubhouse.
|
But a timely delay to construction meant that we could have a party!
|
A big thank you to Reighan for organising the event at short notice and supplying the lovely food platters. And thanks to everyone who helped and attended.
|
|
It was wonderful to see this event return after a two year hiatus due to COVID.
