Membership Renewal Time

Memberships

All memberships now expire 12 months after purchase. Towards the end of your membership, renewal reminders will be emailed to you. If you choose not to renew, your membership will lapse. For those on fixed term memberships, i.e. ending 30/6/2024, when renewing choose the appropriate membership and continue with the process as before.

Family and Junior Memberships

For family memberships, don't forget to add the rest of your household.

For juniors, one parent needs to sign up with their contact details and then purchase a membership for each child. With two or more children, buying a family membership may be better value.

Membership Offset Instructions

If you elected to offset your membership fees with the key deposit, please read the following.

When paying your membership:
  1. Select "other payment" option (not credit card).
If paid by credit card at this point, your offset will be lost.
  2. Inform the membership secretary of your intentions via email to membership@researchtennis.com.au, or call or SMS to 0427 057 260 if you prefer.
  3. Your invoice will be amended and resent, and then pay the updated invoice by whatever means you like.
If you don't notify the membership secretary or pay at step 1, it will be assumed that you are donating your deposit to the club and will not be available for an offset.

This also applies to members who have already said to do the offset option. Once a membership is paid via credit card, it's time-consuming to change the cost, as it involves refunding, then cancelling the membership, and then you have to redo it all, following the above steps.

A Letter of Appreciation

Hi All,

This email is the first of its kind whilst I have been on the committee, which is over 18 years.
Please read my response, which I would like to send it out to our members.

The committee would like to thanks the players, parents and the Junior coordinator George Cochrane for showing great sportsmanship and congeniality towards other alike Tennis clubs, living up to the values of the club.

The committee welcomes shout outs like these, as we love to hear our members representing the club in such a positive manner and will continue to celebrate them.

Mike Paterson, RTC President

Hi George,

I hope you’re well!

I just wanted to drop you a quick note about the Boys 4 final on Saturday between Research and Watsonia.

Firstly, many thanks to yourself for hosting the day and your own efforts in making the morning a great success.

I’d like to congratulate the Research team on not only winning on the day, but wanted to commend them for their fantastic sportsmanship.

We’ve had some great tussles throughout the season with all matches decided on games and have enjoyed watching some great battles between the two teams.

All of the boys were gracious in their victory on Saturday and displayed all of the positive qualities you want to see in an opponent.

I’d also like to say a big thank you to all of the Research parents. They’ve been a wonderful group to converse with and appreciate the hospitality and chats throughout the season. They should all be very proud of their young men.

If you could pass this on to the team and committee it would be most appreciated.

All the best for the next season.

Kind regards,
Adam Lowe
Junior Coordinator (and Boys 4 TM)
Watsonia Tennis Club
